Carnival Flow

I spend so much time searching for prints, and finding creative ways to make something out of them. I fell in love with this Bohemian/African print, but couldn't decide what to make of it for a long time. I finally decided to follow a style that I kept stumbling upon on social media from numerous fashionistas.

I always get so nervous when creating new pieces, as it doesn't always turn out the way I envisioned. But this one surpassed my expectations. I really love the steak fit around my waist and hips, and the ruffle flares throughout the length of the skirt. The bold print reminds me of a carnival! It really makes me happy to have followed my heart with this one.

I then wanted to add more patterns and textures to create "the look". So I married the skirt with a loose stripe shirt for a pattern contrast win. I threw in a straw hat and some wood bangles as an easy way to accentuate and add in more textures. You can shop these through my Amazon favorites:

I hope this inspire you as well to throw on something fun and different. Let me know what you think. Share your looks with me!
